At the beginning of each month, we'll be providing parents with talking points and action points to complement what we're doing at school. It's all about strategic parenting.
Cast Vision: Virtue of the Month
The Humble Hero
- Humble Heroes develop a God sized vision for their life
- Humble Heroes have a vision for world impact
Communicate Truth: Monthly Scripture
Where there is no vision, the people will perish. Proverbs 28:19
- Memorize this scripture together this month
- Talk about what it means to have a heart for the people of all nations
Commit to Discipleship Teaching Points
- Talk about this definition of spiritual vision with your son. Spiritual vision is seeing things from God’s point of view.
- Ask your son what he thinks God has on his heart. After listening to his answers, have him rank them in order of importance.
- Teach your son that God has people on his heart and he expects us to impact the whole world for His glory.
Champion Service
Research the number of people groups that have not heard the gospel. Pray for a different group each day this month.
If you have a world map, highlight these countries with a different pin or color so that you are reminded that they are unreached.
Chief Memory Maker
Take your son to a restaurant that serves food from a different country.
During dinner, talk about the differences in culture and think of ways that you could reach people in that country for Christ.
